The tee shot at the 6th is straightforward
enough, along the bottom of a valley, but
the difficulty comes with the approach shot
to the green, set into the top of a hill.
Anything short or right runs the risk of ending
up back down the hill, leaving a 60 yard up-hill
pitch over bunkers. The tendency is to keep
left, but missing the green on this side leaves
a very testing chip down a very fast green.
The green itself was re-laid in 2003, and
is now perhaps the fastest green on the course.
Anything downhill will test your touch.
