Alan White turned pro in 1982 when he became an assistant at Gleneagles Hotel and Golf Courses in Perthshire. In 1989 he left Gleneagles and moved to Aberdeen to be head pro at Murcar Golf Club. After a successful 7 years there, Alan moved to Lanark Golf Club where he has been since.


In 2001 Alan was given the honour of being the Centenary Captain of the Scottish PGA. He now serves as Chairman of the Scottish PGA and sits on the PGA National Executive. To recognise Alan’s experience as a Golf Coach as well his work with the PGA he was made a Advance Fellow of the PGA, which he was presented with at the "Open" at Turnberry in 2009

 

Alan is much in demand as a teacher and coach. With his two Assistant Professionals, Grant and Chris, he provides a comprehensive teaching service to suit players of every standard, from beginners to highly accomplished golfers, including some of Scotland’s best amateurs and young tour professionals.

 

Programmes range from individual coaching using state-of-the-art video technology and software, to group sessions and company clinics. The assistant professionals are specialists in Junior Coaching and work with the Young Masters Golf Programme (www.ymg-golf.com ) for boys and girls who want to start playing the game.
 

 

Individual lessons from Alan cost £30.00 per half hour or £60.00 per hour.
 

 

Lessons for juniors from Grant and Chris cost £18.00 per half hour.
