Alan White

Master PGA Professional

Alan White turned pro in 1982 when he became an assistant at Gleneagles Hotel and Golf Courses in Perthshire. In 1989 he left Gleneagles and moved to Aberdeen to be head pro at Murcar Golf Club. After a successful 7 years there, Alan moved to Lanark Golf Club where he has been since.

In 2001 Alan was given the honour of being the Centenary Captain of the Scottish PGA. He then served as Chairman of the Scottish PGA until 2014 when he became a Board Member of the PGA of GB&I. In 2017 he then became Chairman of the PGA of GB&I, a Trustee of the PGA Benevolent Fund and a Board Member of Ryder Cup Europe Ltd. To recognise Alan’s experience as a Golf Coach as well as his work with the PGA he was made a Master PGA Professional in 2019.

Alan is much in demand as a teacher and coach. With his Assistant Professionals, Stephen Gray and Graeme Greer he provides a comprehensive teaching service to suit players of every standard, from beginners to highly accomplished golfers, including some of Scotland’s best amateurs and young tour professionals.

Individual lessons from Alan cost £39.00 per 1/2 hour or £65.00 per hour.

I have coached and coach, both Scottish Professional and Scottish Amateur Champions. Also European Tour Players, Senior European Tour Players, Challenge Tour, Europro Tour and Tartan Tour Players. Walker Cup Players. Ladies European Tour Players, and Ladies Senior Internationalists. Also Lanarkshire Gents and Ladies County Champions, and Ayrshire County Champion. Over 50 golf professionals have travelled to Lanark Golf Club for tuition. I have been named one of Golf Worlds Top 100 UK golf coaches , a Today’s Golfer Top 50 coach and South Lanarkshire / Sports Scotland High Performance coach of the year. In addition to this I have given in excess of forty thousand golf lessons in my time in golf, and I still very much enjoy working on a daily basis with club golfers at all levels, to enhance their enjoyment of the game of golf.

Assistant Professional

Graeme

Graeme Greer is the newest addition to our team. He has already completed his PGA Level 1 Coaching and is in his final year of his PGA training to become a qualified Golf Professional. Graeme played all his amateur golf at Carluke GC and Prestwick St Nicholas where he got down to a +1 handicap and played for Scotland in the Home International in 2016.

Golf Lessons

Individual lessons from Alan cost £39.00 per half hour or £70.00 per hour.

Junior Academy

Graeme enjoys running the Junior Golf Academy and seeing young pupils flourish under their guidance during the Summer and Winter Academies, which are going from strength to strength.

Individual lessons for your child are also available on a 1 to 1 basis for £19.50 per half hour lesson.
