Golf Since 1851

A memorable golf experience awaits you at Lanark Golf Club, The worlds oldest ‘inland’ golf course and 25th oldest Golf club in the world.

Our Old Course is a par 70 moorland course laid out over ancient glacial sands and was designed by Old Tom Morris, George Sayers and later refined by James Braid to the layout we now play today. The course is characterised by a range of testing fairways that drain freely and large fast greens that are played and enjoyed throughout the calendar year. Stunning views of Tinto and the surrounding hills and wildlife of the Southern Uplands enhance the golfing experience.

The course has hosted national and international amateur championships as well as regional qualifying for The Open Championship. Our Wee Course is a Par 29, 9 hole course that is fun and challenging in equal measures. Club Members and the Course Management Team take great pride in the condition of both our courses and the welcome we provide our visitors.

Our Club Professional is Alan White, Master PGA Professional and current Chairman of the PGA. Alan and his pro team, provide expert tuition services from a professionals shop extensively stocked with the latest golfing equipment from leading brands.

Our clubhouse boasts panoramic views of the 18th green, the course and nearby Lanark Loch. Clubhouse facilities include a well stocked bar and renowned barista coffee. Resident Chef Paul, provides an extensive home made menu comprising quality local produce that is enjoyed by all who visit the Club. All menu items are cooked fresh to order.

We look forward to welcoming you to our historic club.
